Project Activities

The following activities will be undertaken as part of the project, providing a fundament for long-term sustainable co-operation:

• Joint research carried out by partners in Turkey, Germany and Sweden
• Establishment and transfer of best practice and procedures
• Development and implementation of training programmes for university staff and further stakeholders
• Awareness raising through information and dissemination activities, through a focused and integrated approach using available communication channels including the Internet, national+international media;
• Production of studies, analyses and working papers;
• Publication and dissemination of reports and studies;
• Organization of a set of dedicated events such as a summer school, seminars and an international conference on the key themes

The set of actions envisaged in the RENET project includes understanding political frameworks (Work Package [WP] 1), the promotion of information and technology transfer (WP 2), strategic capacity building (WP 3), the dissemination, networking and awareness raising, targeted to decision makers and with special emphasis to Turkey (WP 4) as well as the overall project management (WP 5) to ensure project success.

For the purposes of technical coherence and management, the tasks envisaged in each work package are led by one, joint jointly led by two, of the RENET partners with respective support from the other partner, care being exercised to make sure that both European and Turkish partners are able to contribute in a balanced way.
