RENET: Renewable Energy Networks between Turkish and European Universities
Objectives
The overall objective of the RENET project is to improve the dialogue, mutual understanding and co-operation between German, Swedish and Turkish institutions of higher education in the key field of renewable energy – with a focus on waste-to-energy, solar energy and bio-fuels, in order to promote information and technology transfer and hence assist with the implementation of sustainable (energy) policies in both regions.
Final RENET Conferenc: Announcing the International Renewable Energy Conference (IREC)
From 19 - 20 November 2009 in Istanbul, Turkey
of the RENET project for sharing the project’s achievements and disseminating the project results and on renewable energy technology, the corresponding policies and university development to Bogaziçi’s students, staff members and further stakeholders.
This conference will offer a valuable opportunity to gain and share knowledge not only for researchers, but also practitioners, policy makers, and anyone interested in any aspect of renewable energy systems. The conference will be realized by the participations of academicians from both EU and Turkey, NGO representatives working or related in the feld of renewable energy, professionals working for public and private corporations active in the renewable energy sector, and decision makers. Participation in the RENET Istanbul event is free of charge, however, registration is required.

RENET Hamburg Conference
From 28-30 Oct 2009 in Hamburg, Germany
The Hamburg conference of the RENET project is being organized by Hamburg University of Applied Sciences from 28-30 October 2009 in Hamburg/Germany. Embedded in a larger conference setting, the RENET partners will present the project results in a designated session.

Review: Stockholm Conference and Project Meeting
The second RENET conference including a regular project meeting took place from 12-13 March 2009 in Stockholm, the capitol city of Sweden. RENET partner KTH Royal Institute of Technology hosted this activity.
